Foreign Investors Pump $14.4 Billion into U.S. Industrial Real Estate

Foreign investors made $14.4 billion worth of U.S. industrial real estate acquisitions in 2018, up a whopping 152% year-over-year due to several large entity-level deals and 29% above the average volume since 2015, according to CBRE Research and Real Capital Analytics. Foreign investors accounted for 21% of total U.S. industrial real estate investment volume in 2018. Phoenix continues to attract investor attention. According to a survey from CBRE, Phoenix ranks in the top-10 target investment markets for 2019, coming in at number 9 on the list. The city jumped two spots from a previous survey by CBRE.
