Jared Christensen is Managing Director of Joint Ventures for BKM Capital Partners. Christensen is responsible for establishing, maintaining and growing the Firm’s Joint Venture business. He also leads the cross-collaboration of various internal departmental teams to standardize, improve, and automate various real estate processes to support business and financial objectives.
Christensen brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience across capital markets, acquisitions, dispositions, asset management leasing and marketing. Throughout his career, Christensen has held key leadership roles in capital markets and asset management with real estate private equity firms and provides BKM with strong leadership and oversight of the Firm’s strategic growth initiatives.
Prior to joining BKM, Christensen served as Managing Director of The Bendetti Company, where he was responsible for all operations of the firm including acquisitions, dispositions, capital markets, asset management and leasing efforts. During his time at Bendetti, he oversaw a large number of acquisitions recapitalizations, and dispositions, representing over $200M in transaction volume. Christensen also negotiated over 1,200 leases and led the execution of $10M of value-add rehabilitation projects. Under Christensen’s leadership, the Company more than doubled its portfolio size.
Prior to Bendetti, Christensen served as Vice President and Asset Manager at Core Realty Holdings, LLC, where he was responsible for structuring the Company’s investment offerings and raising capital. Christensen led the capital raising efforts for the Company and raised over $150M in various investment offerings. Christensen also managed a portfolio of 4.6M sf of commercial properties while at Core Realty Holdings.
Christensen has also held several Capital Markets and Asset Management leadership positions at various real estate investment companies including American Realty Advisors and Dahn Corporation where he honed his expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, due diligence, asset management, leasing, structuring investment offerings and raising capital.
Christensen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Southern California and is an active member of NAIOP. He is also a licensed California real estate broker.
