Newly created role helps support strategic national expansion of firm’s investment platform

Newport Beach, CA – May 28, 2025 – BKM Capital Partners, a vertically integrated institutional fund manager specializing in multi-tenant light industrial properties, has expanded its investment team with the addition of Charlie Farmer as Director of Acquisitions & Dispositions. Based in Newport Beach, Farmer will lead investment activity across the Central and Southeastern United States and work alongside Michael Grossner, who serves as his counterpart in the Western U.S.
In his new role, Farmer will lead sourcing, underwriting, and execution efforts for new investments in high-growth markets across the Central and Southeastern U.S., including Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Chicago, and Denver. He will work in close coordination with his West Coast counterpart, Michael Grossner, who oversees BKM’s investment activity in key markets in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Washington, and Oregon.
“Charlie’s institutional background, hands-on experience across the investment lifecycle, and deep relationships in key markets make him a strong fit for BKM as we expand our geographic reach,” said Brett Turner, BKM’s Senior Managing Director of Acquisitions and Dispositions. “Working alongside Michael, who brings deep expertise across the West Coast, we’ve built a regional leadership structure that allows us to execute with focus and agility across our entire investment footprint.”
The creation of Farmer’s role reflects BKM’s broader growth strategy, following its recent entry into Houston, Orlando, and other high-growth markets outside the Western United States.
With over 12 years of real estate investment experience and a career transaction volume exceeding $1.5 billion, Farmer has built a strong track record across industrial, office, and multifamily asset classes. Prior to joining BKM, he held senior investment roles at TA Realty, Swift Real Estate Partners, and Buchanan Street Partners.
“As we continue expanding into high-growth markets beyond our Western U.S. foundation, it’s critical to have the right people in place to lead that evolution,” Turner added. “This enhances our ability to identify and act on emerging opportunities that align with our strategy. His leadership helps ensure we’re not just growing—we’re growing in the right places, with the right discipline.”
Farmer holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Villanova University.
