Former PIMCO Executive Joins BKM Capital Partners as CFO

October 13, 2021 – Newport Beach, CA-based BKM Capital Partners named Bill Galipeau as Chief Financial Officer. Galipeau is a veteran financial and investment management leader who most recently served as EVP and Head of Investment Operations at PIMCO.

The addition of Galipeau marks the third senior-level executive to join the BKM team in its Newport Beach, CA office in the past three months. Harry B. Hedison joined as Senior Managing Director of Capital Markets & Investor Relations in September and Susan Rounds was named Managing Director of Operations in August.

BKM Capital Partners growth, maturity and appeal with institutional investors is reflected in its strong market position in the multi-use logistics and small and mid-bay light industrial asset class. The company fully realized its first institutional fund in September 2021, which generated exceptional results and provided confirmation for its investment thesis. The September portfolio recapitalization of BKM Industrial Value Fund I, along with prior asset sales, delivered returns to Fund I investors that well exceeded targets. Since its founding in 2013, BKM Capital Partners has amassed a diversified portfolio of properties across the Western U.S. and has built an industry-leading operating platform to support the distinct needs of occupiers of multi-use logistics and small to mid-bay light industrial space.

Galipeau will be critical to both the immediate execution of BKM’s near-term business plan, as well as the long-term creation of enterprise value in the organization as it expands. His responsibilities will encompass managing the firm’s finance and accounting functions to implement the company’s growth plans. He will also have overall responsibility for the accounting and finance functions of BKM’s funds and separate accounts.

Galipeau was responsible for back-office operations for PIMCO, which included oversight of the Cash Desk and Collateral Desk. He adds deep expertise in fixed income, derivatives, cash and FX, structured products, and other complex investments. He is an expert in supply chain management, contract negotiation, and business process outsourcing.

Prior to his operations role, he served as Chief Financial and Accounting Officer for 19 NYSE-listed PIMCO closed-end investment companies. He also served as Head of Fund Administration for the PIMCO funds. Earlier in his career at PIMCO he was Head of Business Performance Management, where he developed oversight and support functions for PIMCO’s global fund business.

Prior to PIMCO he spent 15 years at Fidelity Investments in a number of senior finance, operations, and risk management roles within its asset management and brokerage businesses. He started his career at Fidelity in the firm’s Internal Audit Department.

Galipeau holds an undergraduate degree from Providence College and attended the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has also served as the Audit Committee Chairman of the PIMCO Foundation, and on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Orange County.
